Katana-Flash

Information

Katana-Flash is being used by a number of Tuning companies in their R&D departments for reading and writing as well as to correct the checksums. Not only the new MED and EDC17 are being supported by our tool but also EDC16 and MED8.

The stock file of the vehicle can be extracted over the factory OBD connector. The stock file is being used by the aftermarket tuner to modify the performance features of said file. After the tuner has modified the file, the file needs to be corrected in such a way that the engine control unit will accept this file. After this checksum correction the file is then flashed back into the car’s engine control unit over the factory OBD connector.
